Sometime in January 2011, a group of CDU-Radiologic Technology alumni based in the United
States conceived the idea of holding a reunion of CDU-RT alumni who are now working outside of the
Philippines. The group was composed of Mr. Dennis Yuson, Mr. Dean Mark Concepcion, Ms. Mary
Joy Cabanesas-Racho, Mr. Gaspar Salang, Jr., Ms. Vikylou Masnayon-Salang, Ms. Rachel Radin-
Abao, Ms. Cecilia Mangawang-Taclay, Ms. Doreen Monteclaro, Ms. Janet Romasanta Geongzon,
Ms. Helen Caballero-Ong, Mr. Thomas Lester Sagun, Ms. Myra Laurente, and Mr. Vincent Bernadez.
It was agreed that the affair will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 23, 2012, and Mr. Dennis
Yuson, who is a resident of Las Vegas, was chosen to coordinate the affair. Although some of
the core group members were not able to attend due to some other commitments, the affair was
attended by about thirty alumni representing the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom. The
group invited Mr. Reynaldo A. S. Tisado, CDUCAMS Radiologic Technology Department Chairman,
as the guest speaker.

On June 23, 2012, after more than a year of planning, the first international gathering of CDU
Radiologic Technology alumni was held in the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas,
Nevada. There may be few who attended but it did not stop those who were present to enjoy the
company of one another. The affair was indeed very successful that holding of the next reunion is
already in the planning stage for 2014.
