Christmas is a day to give back our blessings to
others. As the Cebu Doctors’ University Alumni Association
(CDUAA) is blessed this year, after they had their Advent
Recollection and Annual Christmas Party, its officers
came up with a Gift Giving Activity to 120 children in SOS
Children’s Village, Talamban, Cebu City last December 4,
2011.

Under the facilitation of Dr. Alex Magalona,
President of CDUAA, Ms. Juna Layao, SOS Social Worker
gathered the children and their surrogate mothers at their
auditorium where they eagerly waited the CDUAA Officers.
The children were excited to meet the CDUAA Officers.
There was a short program opened by Mr. Victor Baang,
Project Director of SOS Talamban. CDUAA Officers were
surprised with the special numbers performed by the
children.

After a while, giving of gifts followed. The beams of
the children’s faces as they received their gifts highlighted
the event and warned their hearts of those who took part
in the gift giving activity. Representatives from the SOS
Children and Mothers shared a message of gratitude to the
visitors.

CDUAA members also present during the Gift
activity were Earl Canapi, Sharah Wang, Reynaldo Tisado,
Ursula Lamoco, Jiin Park, Geobelle Isidro, Maribel Sesante,
Ralph Dy, Lidiore Miranda, Bryan Canape, Jigs Coligado,
Jocelyn Sulapas and Charlene Dabon. Ms. Dee Jane Aguil
was also present. She gave toys and candies to selected
SOS children.
